5 American foods that are banned in many countries.

In the United States, people are not known for having the healthiest foods, but what they may not realize is that some of the “food” they consume is considered as being so bad to their health and an to the whole human race. For that it’s banned in other countries. That’s right and scary  because here are six of many foods we eat daily that have been made illegal in other places.

 1. Potassium Bromate

Potassium bromate is used in making bread, buns and baked goods to cut down on baking time and save costs. But what would your body gain? Kidney and nervous system disorders, cancer and health issues.

2. Artificial Food Dyes

Coloring agents Blue 1, Blue 2, Yellow 5, Yellow 6 and Red 40 are banned in many countries in Europe, but here they’re found in everything from candy to cereal , icecream  and other foods. Researcher have shown that these artificial food dyes can up your risk of cancer and may also cause ADHD to children.

3. Brominated Vegetable Oil

This toxic chemical found in energitic and sport drinks and citrus sodas can cause cancer and autoimmune diseases , so for these real reasons, it’s banned in more than 100 countries. Yet somehow it’s still allowed here in the U.S.

4. Olestra

Currently being forbidden in the U.K. and Canada, Olestra, also known as Olean, is used as  a fat substitute for foods like fat-free potato chips, but it can rob your body of nutrients and contribute to stomach issues as well. We should have known those Wow! chips were too good to be trsuted .

5. Synthetic Hormones

Cows treated with the growth hormones rBGH and rBST are more prone to infection, and therefore are also frequently treated with antibiotics, leading to an increase in antibiotic-resistant bacteria, also known as “superbugs.” The Consumption of these synthetic hormones in milk increases one’s risk of breast, colon and prostate cancers. These hormones are forbidden in countries like Australia, Canada, Japan and Europe countries.

If you want to take matters into your own hands and avoid some potentially toxic stuff, stay away of foods that contain these five ingredients that have been banned in other countries.
